Starmer condemned by Jewish institute in Germany for exploiting Holocaust Memorial

Does Starmer understand the Holocaust or Holocaust Memorial Day?

JVL Introduction

As Labour’s hounding of Jewish members on the left continues, on the basis of the most ludicrous of charges, Starmer shows he is not averse to a little wheeze or two.

What better than to use the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin as wallpaper for personal self-aggrandisement?

Does he have no sense of shame?

Breaking: Starmer condemned by Jewish institute in Germany for exploiting Holocaust Memorial

Starmer’s position more morally untenable than ever after Tikvah Institute asks what he thinks he’s doing

SKWAWKBOX (SW)Labour leader Keir Starmer has been rightly lambasted on social media for using the Holocaust Memorial in Germany as scenery for a self-promoting video – without even mentioning the Holocaust, except in a separate tweet that did not carry the video.

But now, the Tikvah Institute in Berlin – a communal organisation dedicated to fostering understanding of Judaism and Jewish people and to fighting antisemitism – has asked him to explain just what he thought he was doing using the memorial as a backdrop with no mention of the ‘Shoa’ (sic), the Hebrew word for the mass murder of Jewish people:

The Tikvah Institute is run by leading German Jewish figures including winners of the prestigious Leo Baeck Prize and the Federal Cross of Merit and Grand Cross of Merit.

Having already used antisemitism as an excuse for hounding left-wing Jews out of the Labour party, Starmer has now shown contempt for the memory of the millions of Jews killed by the nazis – and it seems German Jews agree. His position as leader of what was – before his tenure – the biggest people’s political party in Europe has long been morally untenable. Today it is more so.

He’s even been slammed by Joe Glasman at the Campaign Against Antisemitism – seems being a Zionist without qualification has its limits. I expect we’ll see some grovelling.

Another bare-faced lie: what does prancing about the holocaust memorial have to do with focussing exclusively on the economic problems of the UK and LP solutions thereto? I won’t recall the lies he committed as top man at the CPS, but before he was elected LP leader, he made it clear that pro-Zionism was not a the top of his agenda, and certainly lower down than his two competitors. I canvassed for him (not just voted for him) on that sole basis. Straightaway a U-turn, (”100% Zionist – no ifs, no buts”)*drenched in faux family sentimentality. Surely this qualifies him to be TORY party leader!
    * Presmumably he would contest “But this project was based on the ethnic cleansing of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, and continues on that basis” – a response that is surely a piece of arrant anti-semitism in his view….

This is an obscene descent into vile political manipulation. That Starmer has been systematically kicking left-wing jews out of the Labour Party and decides to use the Holocaust Memorial as “backdrop” to a promotional video without even mentioning the holocaust is beneath contempt. And he has been trying to ride the moral high ground accusing the Tories of lack of integrity. What total hypocrisy

I thought Keir Starmer was deeply cynical. I’m beginning to think that he is just clueless…

Just shows that Mr Starmer still can sink to new depths. You do not behave like this in Germany, hence it was made very clear that his behaviour, using a Holocaust Memorial has offended Jewish communities in Germany. In my view it was highly offensive to those who lost loved ones to the Holocaust, and it is also highly hypocritical considering that he purges Socialist Jewish members of the LP.

Clearly, he has no sense of shame.
Nor does he appear to have any political sense of what is appropriate behaviour for a political leader.
Leader of the Labour Party !!
Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath !!
Member of the Trilateral Commission !!
    A sick joke.

Weird. Self-aggrandising, of course. Delusional. But, Starmer is out to delude everyone. Keir Starmer’s ‘sister party’ is the Conservative Party. ‘Respect’…? Starmer has shown little respect for members of the Labour Party, who he has lied to and bullied. But, Keir Starmer is at least genuinely antisemitic; his embedded policy insists on British Jews having allegiance to the foreign country of Israel and disciplines Jewish Labour Party colleagues who do not agree with this peculiar definition of Zionism or who are rightly critical of Israel’s cruel oppression of indigenous non-Jewish people.

Since they were supposed to be on a historical visit to the German Social-Democratic Party perhaps they might have learned from a visit to the graves of Karl Liebknecht and Rose Luxembourg, murdered by proto-nazis with the approval of the social-democrat right-wing.

Sometimes I think the word Holocaust has just become a word so generalised that it lost its meaning a bit. Having known people, parents and children who were sent to Eastern Europe to be killed yet thought they were going to be settled there, makes the Holocaust less distant, less abstract. Of course the trouble is that so many people have been killed since that we get more used to it every day.

Stiff Keir Starmer lets show how he is unsuited for progressive government. Starmer’s Leadership of the Labour Party has shown how he is unfit to govern.

Politicians are either accommodators or progressives. They either push towards what they see as better or accommodate to whatever is already occurring. They also have an ability to rewrite history to fit their current views. Starmer par excellence

How strange. No mention of this in the Graun, the “Indy” or on the BBC.
