ACTION ALERT: Labour should oppose the “Anti-Boycott Bill”

We repost the latest urgent mailing from Labour & Palestine to its supporters about the “Anti-Boycott Bill” and urge readers to take appropriate action as suggested below.

ACTION ALERT: Labour should oppose the “Anti-Boycott Bill”

We have written with ASLEF General Secretary Mick Whelan today to Keir Starmer and Lisa Nandy urging them to “reconsider the decision to abstain on the Economic Activity of Public Bodies (Overseas Matters) Bill this Monday.” Please read and tweet the letter here and share on Facebook here.

We all must do what we can to oppose this Bill, which is a dangerous threat to democracy, freedom of expression, and the ability of public bodies to spend, invest, and trade ethically in line with international law and human rights. You can:

  • Watch Labour NEC member Jess Barnard give a briefing on why to oppose the Bill here and share here.
  • Read more on the growing opposition to the Bill here.
  • Write to your MP using PSC’s easy online tool here.
  • Retweet our letter to Starmer and Nandy here – and FB share it here.

Yours,
The Labour & Palestine volunteers.

PS: Be sure to check out Jess Barnard’s brilliant 4 minute video briefing on the Bill here.
