JVL statement on the Christchurch terrorist atrocity

From Pittsburgh to Christchurch neo-fascists are a threat to us all. We are horrified, deeply saddened, and angry at the ghastly racist murders in New Zealand.

We stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters and commit to continue the vital fight against Islamophobia, racism and antisemitism. Through our tears and our grief we are determined they will not prevail. Our sympathy goes out to the bereaved and injured.

No Paseran.

Never again for anyone.

I fully agree with this heartfelt message, as a non-Jewish associate member of Jewish Voice for Labour. There should be no place for racism and hatred in this world. Peace and love to all.

  • Gillian Fairbanks says:

These deaths are crimes against humanity. How desperately sad this is. We need to learn that demonising any group of people promotes extremism. We need to emphasise tolerance and dialogue as a way forward. Kindness must prevail
