JVL at the Labour Party conference

Liverpool Conference offers Labour Party members and the wider movement a major opportunity to build mass support for Jeremy Corbyn’s socialist project – starting with the rally called for 6 pm on Saturday September 22 at the Pier Head.  Those who are hostile to this project have plans to undermine and derail it, as explained in a recent post by Swawkbox.

Jewish Voice for Labour is mobilising for Saturday’s rally and supporting the drive for an open, democratic party accountable to its members, radical policies that speak to the millions of British voters tired of austerity, and a solid commitment to combating the rise of the far right.

Our special contribution comes in the form of two public events, both detailed in the flier below. The first, on Monday Sept 24 at 5.30 pm, deals with Palestine, Israel, antisemitism and fighting the far right. It is listed in the conference fringe programme. The other, on Tuesday Sept 25 at 7pm, featuring a brand new film based on the “Political Lynching of Jackie Walker”, does not appear in the programme. The listing was refused because Jackie Walker has been suspended from party membership. We make no further comment.
